Waikaraka Park Club Day - 01/02/09

And then there was 3. Yes the newest car from the workshop turned its first laps at the Waikaraka Park club day on the weekend. Powered by a centre mounted 240cui Chevy V8 it's pilots for the day were both Bryce and Wayne Marx. Dad unfortunately didn't get a chance to drive his car but no doubt the day will come. The car, which both Dad and Wayne have been working on for quite a while will become another welcome addition to the Auckland Superstock ranks.

The rest of the car has pretty much the same configuration as both 53a and 73a, including Tilton clutch, ZF gearbox and winters quickchange diff and of course Afco coil-over shock absorbers. The biggest difference of course are the new chrome wheels.
A custom wrap around seat fully padded, along with custom padding throughout the cabin make the new car comfortable and safe to drive.

The biggest tasks left to do is finish off the signwriting and get the car trailer sorted out as while the transporter is pretty big, it doesn't quite have room for all 3 cars.

The number of meetings the car attends will be up to Dad at this stage, but hopefully all the cars will be lined up for the next meeting as it will be quite a sight.

Catch ya....MadPhil
