23rd October 2007

Well we made it to opening night.

Special thanks to 28h and 22h for turning out to support us Auckland fellows.

Only problem was the weather bloody cold.

We where a bit disappointed with the car as during the previous weeks we had given everything a good check and clean. Only to have the car develop a miss when we got it off the trailer.

This became even more evident during the first race. Under load there was no power to the point where I could only use about half the throttle as the car would just die.

It appears that the spark plugs had fowled. This has happened before with this motor so we shall be changing them all and rechecking timing and fuel before the next meeting.

Oh in regards to SNZ thank you yet again for making the start of another season such a wonderful occasion. I am beginning to think that we should wait until the start of the season to carry out all of the extra SNZ requirements. One day professional people may run a sport professionally.

So we where extremely lucky that the meeting was called off after the first race, as trying to drive the car in the next two races would not have been much fun.

It was pleasing that 8 cars made it to opening night and things are due to improve even more over the next few weeks as more cars are ready to race.

Thanks
-Bryce
