Well if you remember on the last night of racing in Auckland last season, you
may have seen my close relationship with the concrete wall during the first
race. Believe it or not I have still not fully recovered with the right arm
still causing problems. In the impact I folded the steering wheel inside out
punching the dash with my hands, my right knee hit the steering box and I enjoyed
a limp for about 2 months. Just goes to show that maybe teams racing is not
the main cause for injuries.
Philip drove the car for the rest of the night, but complained that it wouldn’t
rev above 6500.
We have done a bit of work on the car over the last month and solved that problem,
we have also completed a few other minor modifications for the start of the
season. This means that the car is ready to go again. The car is in the same
trim as last year due to the construction of the new cars. But I did like the
colours and signwriting anyway.
Hopefully this year will see us compete in a few more events than last year.
Hopefully the new car will be finished soon.
Hopefully the new engine will be as good as it appears to be.
Hopefully the new car looks good.
This will all happen when I win lotto.
For now lets look forward to starting the season with old faithful, and that when the new car does arrive all those that have pushed us around at the start of the season, will get a little surprise of their own.
Anyway everything is looking good for this season, Auckland car numbers are up without counting on our new cars and things are looking better towards the future.
