First for the 2005 / 06 season
Well we are nearly there again and to be truthful I almost have to much to do than race the car. Like I said “almost”, it does look however that until I finish building my new house the racing will have to be intermittent.
We have not done much to the car during the off season. We had only minor damage after the teams racing and after the last night we had to replace the radiator. As the engine has only done about 10 races it should be ready to go again and after we tidy up a few items it will all be as good as new.
Best of all we have a few extra cars looking like they will be racing out of Auckland and Paul Vasey is doing a great job at try to get us all focused.
I have lost a good crew member for the coming season as he has purchased a Superstock to have a go. If we need him back we may just have to reminder him that some hits are felt, and some are in the pocket. Good luck Lance (photos at the bottom of the page).
It would be nice to race a new car at the nationals this year however that is only if time allows.
I would like to thank the guys who raced for Auckland in the teams champs last season and would like to hope that we could continue as we did for this coming season.
Just for those whom are interested the difference between Stockcar and Superstock teams racing is the number of days you have off work. I never had a day off when standard stock teams racing and had to have two days off after Palmerston Teams racing, for those of you whom are sometimes disappointed at some teams races at large events remember that by the time finals come around its not just the cars that are broken in a lot of cases the drivers are.
